PO1 Jean-Marc Lapointe
PO1 Lapointe retired from the CF on 29 August 08 after 35 years of loyal and dedicated
service to his country.
Jean-Marc has proudly served at CFB Borden as a Steward and served in CFB Montréal ,
Halifax, HMCS Huron, 437 SQN Trenton, HMCS Gatineau, SFC Senneterre , CFB
Borden, NCSM Ville de Quebec, CFB Borden, CFB Kingston, RMC Kingston , CFB
Borden, HMCS St-John’s and CFB Borden. His career has also been highlighted with one
tour in CFS alert, the gulf in 2002, queen silver jubilee 1977 and various deployments on
the east and west coast.
Jean-Marc and his wife Lorraine are giving up the life of a nomad and are settling down
in Angus. Jean-Marc plans on spending his time on the honey do list and every now and
then relaxing as well and coming back to help out on class A or B.
A celebration on his honour was conducted at the Juno Beach Mess in CFB Borden on
the 29th of August 2008.
