This picture was taken in 2005 during the Carnaval de Quebec. Since 2004 HMCS Ville de Quebec has tried
to send a team to represent the ship in the Carnaval de Quebec Canoe Race. The reason VDQ sent a team to
participate is to promote awareness of the Canadian Navy and show a support for our ship's name city Ville
de Quebec. CPO2 Roch Carriere has done many sports in his career, full marathons, half marathons,
skydiving, triathlons, and nothing matches the physical and environmental challenge of crossing the all this
with minimal clothing and protection at temperatures of - 5C. BZ to Roch!!!!!
